Small orange-brown fruit with blurred skin and a nice subacid taste. Fruits are popular in parts of Asia.
The description
Medium-sized tree at 20-50ft. It is usually quite slow. The tree is very ornamental, with pretty bright green leaves. The bark contains a milky latex. The male and female flowers are borne on the same tree. The fruits ripen in late summer and early autumn and often ripen without seeds.
rusticity
The trees are reasonably robust, surviving at least 26F, with some short standing specimens even drops a few degrees lower.

Grow in full sun. Water regularly.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses
The fruits are usually eaten raw and are also dried and eaten.
Native range
Southern China, where it is also sometimes grown commercially. Local Adaptation Florida - grows well in warmer regions, mostly Florida-free frost
